Why the split matters more than the stake
A bankroll is the money set aside for play, separated from money needed for anything else. The split decides how many bad sessions you can absorb before the month is over, and that number is the only one that keeps a hobby a hobby.
Splits that survive
Dividing the monthly amount into equal session budgets, and never topping a session up from the next one, survives a bad week by design. When a session is gone, it is gone.
Splits that do not
Chasing a loss by doubling the next session, or moving the deposit limit up mid-month, is not a split at all. It is one budget with extra steps, and it ends the same way every time.
